After an incredible experience at the Infinite Mind: Healing Together Conference, I know many of us are looking for ways to continue the journey of healing, growth, and connection. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me in Discover What Truly Matters, a six-week Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-based coaching group designed specifically for abuse survivors, including those with dissociative disorders like OSDD and DID.
This group is a space for you to:
✨ Reconnect with what is most meaningful in your life
✨ Identify values that inspire and guide you
✨ Learn mindfulness and acceptance techniques to navigate difficult emotions
✨ Take committed action toward the life you want to build
✨Work in community with other survivors
Together, we will explore where you may feel stuck or uncertain and develop personalized values statements and actionable steps to help you move forward with meaning and purpose.
* The difference between a coach and a counselor mainly lies in their focus, approach, and training.
Counselor (Therapist)
- Focus: Helps individuals process past experiences, heal from trauma, and manage mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and dissociation.
- Approach: Uses evidence-based therapeutic models like EMDR that address emotional and psychological concerns.
- Training: Requires formal education (Master’s or Doctorate), licensure, and clinical supervision. I have a MSed in Social Agency Counseling
and am working as a psychotherapist under supervision with Colleen Walsh, LPC, CPCS - Goal: Healing, emotional regulation, and improved mental health.
Coach
Focus: Helps individuals clarify goals, develop strategies, and take action to improve their lives, relationships, or careers.
- Approach: Uses motivation, accountability, and skill-building but does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
- Training: I trained in a program designed to meet the standards specificied by the International Coaching Federation, ICF. I have worked as a life coach for over ten years.
- Goal: Personal or professional growth, goal achievement, and mindset shifts.
Key Difference:
A counselor helps with emotional healing and mental health, while a coach focuses on future-oriented growth and action. Sometimes, there is overlap, but coaching is not a substitute for therapy.
I require a free consultation for everyone who would like to participate to determine if this is a good fit.
