Post Traumatic Growth Coaching

Post Traumatic Growth Coaching is an exciting area of development as more research proves that we can rewire our brains. We can overcome adversity. We grieve the true losses that we’ve experienced, the things that will never be, the cost of surviving. AND we look to the future, learning what is important to us, what our values are, and then the steps we take to move forward. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ACT,  we work together to develop goals that deeply resonate with who you want to be as a person with meaning and purpose, and then creating committed actions that move us along the path of our valued living.

This type of coaching may be longer term as we explore many facets of your life from education, work, community, relationships both intimate, family and friends, spirituality and more.

Often times, when we have recovered or become more stable in our life after trauma, we begin to realize that the way we are living doesn’t reflect who we want to be. But, at times, we need to back up even further – learning who we do want to be, what is important to us.

I use a number of assessments including an attachment style survey, CliftonStrengths, SixteenPersonalities, vocational surveys, post traumatic growth surveys and more to gather information about what is important to you, and what your strengths are. All this information helps guide us in looking at who you want to be with meaning and purpose and what steps/committed actions you want to take to live this out.
